Richardson Fry Photography bio picture
  • so glad you’re here! pleased to meet you!

  • Truth be told, photography makes me downright giddy. I often find I want to jump up and down and clap my hands with excitement because I'm about to be a part of someone's special occasion. I love coming up with new ideas and experimenting with colors and angles and perspectives. I am inspired by light and focus and intensity--in people and in colors. I love to do the very best I can, always and every time--which means I turn that positive energy into fantastic pictures, and leads to happy clients and a happy photographer.

I'm a pun-loving Chemical Engineer, environmentalist, Kappa Delta and Okie. I moved to the area from Tulsa ten years ago. I love pretty much every bit of North Carolina--the amazing trees, the people, the sights, but I'm not a huge fan of the difficult-to-navigate roads, and I miss the breathtaking Oklahoma sunsets. My husband Matt is my strongest supporter, biggest fan and regular second shooter. We are also the lucky parents of an adorable little girl, Cleona Claire!

brandee + phillip = married | raleigh wedding photographer

Brandee and Phillip are such a sweet pair! So easy-going, so happy together and just so delightful to be around. I appreciated how smoothly their day went, and how you could really tell that everyone there truly loved getting to celebrate with them!

one of the best things about the neighborhood I live in is the people, and this family is one of my favorites! we got to wander around Downtown Durham, visit some of my favorite spots and even enjoy a little post-photo-shoot donut treat!

natalie + damian | raleigh wedding photographer

There is such sweetness in simplicity – and this wedding was definitely sweet and simple. Natalie and Damian’s celebration was both elegant and easy-going, and infused with some excellent humor, so basically it’s my favorite kind of wedding to photograph!

Isn’t the Bridge Club just stunning? I loved the light in here. And their food and service is truly top-notch!

danielle + michael | raleigh wedding photographer

Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way: Danielle and Mike are adorable. When I met them I thought “yes! these are exactly the kind of people whose weddings I *love* photographing!” And you know what? I was right!:)Everyone at the wedding was just delightful, the toasts were moving (one actually made me cry!) and you could tell that it was a true celebration!

Their wedding was at 214 Martin Street – I’d never had the pleasure of photographing there, and I must say, it did not disappoint!

I’m sharing a few images from their celebration here, and you can also see more on the Richardson Fry Photography facebook page!
